Gay Dignity - anti-gay protesters attack police
Budapest - Around 500 anti-gay protesters, who gathered in central Budapest on Saturday afternoon to disturb the gay dignity march, attacked police officers.

The anti-gay protesters, including many skinheads, were waiting near the City Hall and when one of the riot police facing them accidentally tripped over, some of them attacked him.
Police responded with truncheons and a volley of tear gas, and pushed back the mob in the direction of Astoria, a busy junction in the city centre.
The anti-gay protesters pelted stones and bottles at the riot police officers, numbering 600 to 700.
Police have called upon the mob to disperse.
