EU grants Hungary, Slovakia EU 7m to build bridges over border river

Budapest - Hungary and Slovakia have won a 7 million euro grant in EU cross-border cooperation support for constructing two bridges over their common border river Ipoly.

The grant will cover 85 percent of construction costs, with the rest being finance by Hungary and Slovakia on a half-and-half basis.
    
Both bridges were destroyed during the Second World War. Once rebuilt, they will connect Postyenpuszta with Petov and Rarospuszta with Raros.
